I strive to create a classroom where students feel like they belong, where they are safe to learn as they learn and not be afraid to express themselves. I also want to help them understand that dance is for everyone regardless of a dancer's goals, anatomy, or ability.
I have had the privilege, through my degree at OKCU, to take Tap, Jazz, and Ballet Pedagogy classes as well as Dance History and Anatomy. It is important to cultivate an environment of learning where students can learn about how their bodies move and work, where the dance they love so much came from, and how to keep their body's safe and dancing for as long as possible.
